Chester is one of my favourite cities, with an abundance of fancy bars and restaurants, beautiful architecture, fantastic markets and the gorgeous River Dee; there is so much to do and see! The city has a unqiue atmosphere and sense of history, with the stunning two tiered rows filled with little boutiques and eateries.
Hotel Indigo, a stunning boutique hotel in the heart of the city centre, is the perfect spot to stay when visiting the city and here is why:
The reception of the Hotel is decorated very sophisticatedly, leading in to their partner restaurant; The Forge. There is a really welcoming, warm atmosphere as you walk in, greeted by friendly staff and an inviting bar area.
Our room was a family room, very spacious, with a beautiful view of Chester City and extremely well equipped. The décor of the room has been well thought out, very modern and cosy, the kids made themselves comfortable laying on their soft double bed watching Peter Rabbit on the flat screen; the perfect spot to relax before heading down to dinner.
We had a table booked downstairs at The Forge restaurant, we were sat in a beautiful booth with a fabulous view of the open kitchen. There was a very chic atmosphere in the restaurant, which only seemed to get better, soon after we sat down we were greeted by a lovely waitress wheeling her cocktail cart…yes…a cocktail cart! Why have I never been introduced to this before? She gave us some of her personal recommendations and mixed up our drinks in front of our table – delicious! So not to leave out the little ones she also offered to make them a special concoction; magic lemonade – needless to say that went down a treat!

We left the hotel Indigo feeling very well cared for, well rested and with very satisfied full tummies!
