We spent a wonderful and relaxing summer evening at the Lodore Falls Spa Hotel situated on the shores of Lake Derwentwater in the idyllic Lake District. The newly refurbished spa has had no expense spared and caters to your every need. The spa boasts a heated outdoor pool overlooking the lake, a number of steam and sauna rooms, offering a range of fantastic treatments. Whilst sipping Champagne and contemplating the stunning views of the lake, the stresses of everyday life just drifted away. Just when we thought we couldn’t unwind any more, the relaxing couple’s massage took us to a new depth of tranquility.
Later in the evening, we enjoyed a 5 course meal in the hotel’s 2 rosette award winning Lakeside restaurant, generously included in the price of the stay. The food was innovative, delicious and seasonal. There are little touches made to each course which elevate the menu making it deserving of it’s 2-rosette status, not to mention of course the attentive service.
Whether a trip up the valley for afternoon tea or a couples spa retreat we highly recommend the Lodore Falls for some luxurious rejuvenation with your loved one.
